ignorant people really make me mad.. although I am no saint myself, I don’t understand how people can be so full of hate. At the end of the day, we’re all just people trying to make it in this world.. different backgrounds, different beliefs, different convictions.. but how can people be so .. pig-headed.. for lack of a better work.. to push their beliefs onto other people, even way beyond the point of all reason. where do stubborn, close-minded beliefs come from? If someone’s God is a God of love, how they can, for even a second, think that God would want them to “pull someone to pieces” because he renounced Him.
and i’m not just talking about this example.. i’m talking about all the “religious” wars going on around the world..
but then again.. i’m being a hypocrite, because I think that people with so little regard for human life should die. i shouldn’t.. i know.. i must work on that..
i don’t think i’m as pissed off as i am confused though.. i just don’t understand how people, and i believe that we’re all born good, can turn out so.. ugly..
From The Five People You Meet in Heaven:
“Holding anger is a poison. It eats you from the inside. We think that hating is a weapon that attacks the person who harmed us. But hatred is a curved blade. And the harm we do, we do to ourselves.”
It reads in the article, “Rejecting Islam is insulting God. We will not allow God to be humiliated. This man must die”.
There is an incredible irony here. He belittles his own God by assuming that God can be insulted. AND, he suffers from illusions of grandeur in believing that he can protect this (now belittled) God from “humiliation”!
Nothing can be done that is not God’s will, because he has given us the freedom to choose. So judge not and ask not why or how, but know that the will of God will be done.
Whoa. I think I got a little carried away lol.
