Fast Food Nation…

Halfway through the book… reading up on common injuries that workers @ slaughterhouses deal with and how they’re treated.  Most of them are illegal immigrants who work there because it pays double what they would get at home.  For the sake of their families, they take on the risks of working there.  Reading about the stuff they’ve been through makes me feel so …’eh’. some of them have endured sooo much hardship, suffered so much injustice of the system, yet still plod along.  Definately deserves our respect. 

It’s amazing what extents people will go to for profits…
